Great food. I don't get tired of visiting them every time I've the chance. Great location, prices, choices of food. Lunch time is pretty busy so you might want to call in your order for pick up cause the wait can be long...but that's because how great the food is there.

Got a super wet burrito. The free chips are awesome. Lines get long and the place gets really busy.

Came here with the boys for a work lunch. Line moved fast, service was fast and my torrta was freaking good

Local family taquria. Order at the counter and the food will be brought to you. Good mexican food in a relax atmosphere. The tables and chairs decor is worth the visit.

One of my favorite local taquerias. Amazing burritos, wide range of Mexican fare to eat, great drink options, and tons of seating in a bright and colorful space. Just be careful at dinner time - the line to order can get long.

4.5 stars. Very good neighborhood taqueria. Huge portions. The self-serve chips and salsa bar was great. Tried super carnitas burrito, enchilada style al pastor burrito , carnitas enchiladas and carne asada plate. The al pastor was a little dry but the rest were delicious. The colorful tables and chairs were fun and cheery.

Real good and tasty. Served in a couple of meeting during the busy lunch time. Will come again.

Great food, the only reason not 5 stars is because the consistency in regard to the meats is not always the same. Some days its cooked perfectly, others may be on the dry side or not as fresh. But when its good, it's GOOD!!!

The service was quick, and the food was pretty tasty, a bit of a hidden gem especially if you can find parking, but overall for the price i would keep this on the list of go to's

Good Mexican food, giant portion, reasonable price, casual and friendly environment

This is a great place, quick with delicious food. If you like your food a particular way just let them know. I am partial to crispy carnitas and they will let them get crispy on the grill for me. It is noisy inside and they have only one table outside but it's easy to get it to go. Make sure to try their green salsa!

We came here after checking out the Alpha Acid Brewery. It was kinda late in the afternoon but they still had a long line. It was worth it though. The food came quick and was delicious. We got a couple super tacos with carne asada and a couple shrimp tacos. The super tacos were our favorites. The tortillas were delicious and nicely toasted. The most amazing thing is that the whole meal cost $12! I also love that they have outdoor seating so we can go with our dog.

Great fresh Mexican food. The place is on a main street so only has few parking spots but that was not an issue. Good food, good service and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

Friends of Elaine's Grocery gathered for lunch. We ate various dishes and everyone was satisfied. My dish is chicken salad and rates a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ because the veggies were fresh and no dressing with very dry overcooked grilled chicken. El Metate customers come from as far as Fremont or Gilroy or San Francisco. Approx. 50 miles. The prices are reasonable with service. Parking can be difficult and tables are small.

This was my first visit here.I requested a low carb specialty meal not on the menu.They had never done anything like it before.They talked about it for about 20 seconds and were able to make a nice plate. See the picture.The food is good.The service is good.The ambiance is nice.The prices are reasonable.The hot sauce was tasty. Quite tasty, actually.They have a chips and salsa bar that is clean and well stocked.I recommend.

1 year ago I would have given a better review, the fact is they are losing quality the customer is very cold and thank goodness the get business cause that's the only way the keep their food semi-fresh. if your in the area atop by but there are better place around.... El Metate I want you to be better!!
